Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) announced that Kyrgyzstan, initially skeptical of cryptocurrencies, has revised its stance following negotiations.
His statement came after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Investment Agency of Kyrgyzstan to develop Web3 infrastructure in the country.
A cornerstone of this partnership is the A7A5 stablecoin, pegged to the Russian ruble and targeting emerging markets.
Leveraging his extensive experience in crypto, CZ revealed he has advised multiple governments “formally and informally” on digital asset regulation.
The global surge in interest toward cryptocurrency integration explains why even previously neutral Kyrgyzstan is now joining the race.
President Sadyr Japarov emphasized that the MoU with CZ aims to build a blockchain ecosystem, with Binance providing technological, infrastructural, and advisory support.
He stated this would strengthen Kyrgyzstan’s position in the Web3 space and unlock new opportunities for businesses and society.
The long-term vision is to create an innovative economic model through digital transformation.
