Tesla is not selling its bitcoins

Tesla has not sold bitcoin for seven consecutive quarters, indicating a long-term “hodling” strategy. Despite the lack of sales, Tesla's Bitcoin price rose as BTC hit a record high of $73,250 in March. The company has 9,720 BTC worth about $711 million.

The decision not to sell Tesla aligns MicroStrategy, led by Michael Saylor, which is also holding off on selling its Bitcoin while actively acquiring more. MicroStrategy recently added another 9,245 BTC to its portfolio.

This strategy contrasts with Tesla's past move to sell 75% of its BTC holdings in 2022. However, Tesla's current position indicates confidence in the future growth potential of Bitcoin, especially after the recent halving.

The lack of Bitcoin sales does not mean stagnation for Tesla, as the rise in the price of Bitcoin has significantly increased the value of its assets. This strategic alignment with MicroStrategy hints at a shared belief in the long-term value of Bitcoin, allowing both companies to benefit from potential future price increases.
