A "Bitcoin Office" has opened in Santa Monica

The Bitcoin Office, in collaboration with the non-profit organization Proof of Workforce, will educate people on the use of cryptocurrencies, identify new economic opportunities, and promote Bitcoin to individuals and businesses.

The office will also aim to strengthen Santa Monica's position as a "hub for Bitcoin innovation."

"In addition to educational efforts, the mission of the Bitcoin Office is to identify and establish partnerships with cryptocurrency industry participants to actively contribute to the economic recovery of Santa Monica and create new employment opportunities," the city government emphasized in a statement.

The city will also host the Bitcoin Peer to Pier festival on October 18, which will bring together Bitcoin enthusiasts and industry participants.

Recall that El Salvador also had a large-scale project called "Bitcoin City." Unfortunately, after the announcement of plans to create "Bitcoin City" in 2021, the project has not yet been launched.
